Who Are We?

DUPPINI Art Group was founded in 2000 as a result of long-term cooperation among professional artists from Veliko Tarnovo with the ambition to create and open society of young – in their spirit and age – people striving at creativity and experiment.

The group was transformed into an Association DUPINI in December 2000 as a non-governmental organization working in the sphere of arts and culture.

The objective of DUPINI Association to create and extend the cultural environment in Bulgaria and abroad by means of interchange between different organizations and individuals with strong personality and various interests. We are targeting at new and diverse forms of presentation for the artistic product and cultural communication, trying to promote the national traditions and to find new ways of their modern interpretation. In order to boost the international cultural exchange, we present our ideas and programmes in Bulgaria and abroad. We collaborate with cultural organizations and intellectuals.

The association has organized 6 consequent international annual symposia in Dolni Enevets (Dolni Dupini) village in Tryavna region of the Balkan mountain, trying to revive the place and to create the conditions for vivid cultural interchange among artists from Bulgaria, the Balkans, and Europe. The results of the workshop are shared by a wide circle in the country and abroad by means of discussions and exhibitions following each event.
